A Harborough couple’s vision has been realised with the completion of a set of state of the art business units this month (November). Stella and Alec Welton, who own Archway House Natural Health Centre, have developed the Arc Business Centre, which consists of four architect designed offices located next to Archway House on Lubenham Hill, at the very edge of Market Harborough.

The Arc Business Centre ( is the culmination of an 11 month project by the Welton family; the second stage of a complete renovation of the site which was originally the location of the Welland Lodge public house. The first stage saw the creation of the Natural Health Centre with six consulting rooms and a gym, whilst the second stage has created the business units, a beauty salon and a studio for classes. The third stage, due to take place in 2012, will see the addition of a coffee shop/health food store. The whole project is very much a family affair with the couple’s children Sam and Mary working on the renovation at weekends and during school holidays.

“We live and work on the site and we feel that it is a very special place to be located, combining beautiful countryside views with the convenience of proximity to the town centre and nearby transport routes such as the M1 and A5,” explains owner Alec Welton. “We were determined that the offices should make the most of their rural location, so have included balconies and French doors to maximise the natural light and attractive surroundings.”

The open plan offices range from 1,115 sq. ft to 1,250 sq. ft in size although offices on either floor could be joined to create one larger space. All units have their own fitted kitchen and W.C as well as allocated parking and ample free parking for visitors. Other features include high speed 40MB broadband, video entry, CCTV, individual alarms and access to shower/changing room facilities.

Market Harborough estate agency and chartered surveyors Andrew Granger & Co are the appointed agents and surveyor Joe Welch is confident that the site will be attractive to a range of local businesses. “The units have been developed and finished to a high specification with great attention to detail, personally overseen by the owner. We feel that they offer a unique rental opportunity for businesses in Harborough and Leicestershire who are attracted by the chance to work in a spacious, rural location which is also close to the amenities of Market Harborough, Leicestershire and the East Midlands.”

The Arc Business Centre is holding series of open days offering the opportunity to visit the premises. The new offices will be open for viewings on Saturday 12th November by appointment only; call 01858 410 820 to book. Viewings can also take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th November 9am to 5pm by calling in at reception (no appointment necessary).
