The Deli has now established itself on the High Street of Kibworth with its prominent green logo and welcoming frontage it is an instant attraction. The business is owned by Mary Guildea who has lived in the village for over 30 years and who clearly has a passion for food.

About The Deli - Kibworth

The past 18 months have been an incredible learning curve, establishing the produce required to satisfy the taste buds of her customers. The Deli provides local produce as well as specialised products carefully sourced from Italy & Spain. These range from Speciality Breads delivered each Saturday, such as Corn, Olive, Tomato, Spelt Walnut and Rye. A large selection of Olives, Pate’s and Relishes, customer’s favourites are Chilli Jam, Onion Marmalade and Hot Horseradish, but we think the Boxing Day Chutney, Christmas Marmalade and Christmas Pickle will be a big hit!

The Cheese selection is always changing as Mary has discovered so many amazing varieties. The favourite local cheeses are Thomas Hoe cave aged Red Leicester, and Stilton from Colston Basset, along with the Channel Island Brie, Cornish Yarg and Parmigiano, to name but a few. To accompany the cheese there is a wide selection of biscuits, Calabrian fig Balls, slate cheese boards and ceramic Brie bakers.

For the sweet lovers there are luxury chocolates, Cartmel sticky puddings and The Deli is the only independent shop to sell mouth-watering Fiona Cairns Cakes, (usually found in Harrods & Fortnum & Masons!) The Deli also makes a variety of home-made cakes & tray bakes.

Lunch times are catered for with Panini’s, home-made soups, Jacket potatoes & the now famous Deli Sausage rolls, Samosas and Onion Bhajis
Business lunches can also be catered for with prior notice.

With the festive season upon us Mary & her team are already busy making up Hampers, other festive treats are Panetone, Amaretti Biscuits, Florentines, Gingerbread tree decorations and ready boxed gift ideas.
