A marketing and PR company based in Market Harborough has moved into larger premises to accommodate new members of staff.  The Ideal Marketing Company (www.idealmarketingcompany.co.uk) which was formerly based at the Innovation Centre, moved into new offices at the Union Wharf canal basin in November.

The business, which was set up by Alastair Campbell and his wife Helen in 2003, has bucked the economic trend and has grown significantly throughout 2012. Following several new client wins, the company has taken on two additional members, Lisa Storey and Kerry Aspinwall, to cope with the increased workload.

“We are all very excited about the new opportunities that the move offers us,” comments Managing Director Alastair Campbell.  “Although 2012 has been another tough year for the economy, it has made many companies focus more closely on their marketing. Organisations have realised just how important it is to invest wisely in effective marketing if they want to stay in business.”

The Ideal Marketing Company was one of the first firms to be based at the Innovation Centre where they used meeting rooms and conference facilitates. The company now has a team of six, and the move was prompted by the need for extra space to accommodate new staff. Their new offices at Knoll House are close to the town centre, whilst being a peaceful waterfront location.

“Moving into a new independent office is a big milestone for us and we are delighted to be in such an attractive location at Union Wharf,” adds Alastair. “Taking on more staff has also enabled us to increase our in house capabilities and we are pleased to now be in a position to offer clients additional marketing and PR services.”

The Ideal Marketing Company works with businesses of all sizes from a range of sectors to improve their marketing, PR and social media strategies. They currently have clients in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and London.

Alastair relocated from London where he was a marketing manager in 1997.  Helen, who has a background in teaching and education management, joined the company in 2004. Alastair is also a founding member of Market Harborough’s not-for-profit networking group, Working Breakfast.
