Clipston woman aims to clean up Harborough and villages

Pam Hickman – Sparkle House Cleaning

A new cleaning company for domestic and commercial customers has been set up this month (November) by a local woman. Having worked in the corporate sector for over 20 years, Pam Hickman 46 of Clipston has decided to use her business and management knowledge of the industry to set up her own team of cleaners working in the area.

“I had been thinking about setting up my own company for some time and then decided to take the plunge, it was now or never – a bit like a midlife crisis!” comments Pam. “ Also, with the economic situation steadily improving, there is a rising demand for cleaning services in the area but it can be difficult to find the right people. Understandably, people are wary about having strangers in their home so I personally vet all the Sparkle House staff and we are fully insured to ensure peace of mind for our customers.”

Pam recently joined Harborough’s not-for-profit business networking group Working Breakfast to help launch her business in the area, having seen a story in the Harborough Mail. “Getting to know local businesses has been really helpful; everyone has been very supportive” adds Pam. “I’ve already secured a number of clients through word of mouth.”

Sparkle House Cleaning offers a range of services, including one off spring cleans, patio power washing, carpet cleaning and regular shorter cleaning contracts.  The company operates in Market Harborough and the surrounding villages of south Leicestershire and north Northamptonshire.

During November, Sparkle House are running an introductory offer, reducing the cost of a first clean of two hours or more by 20%. For more information, visit www.sparklehousecleaning.co.uk.
